What documents do you need to set up in Dubai?
What you actually need to start a Dubai setup, what comes later for your visa and banking, and why the real list is shorter than you think.
To start, usually just your passport. The longer lists you see online are for later stages, and most of them do not apply to you. Here is what is actually needed, and when.
To begin: your passport
Most setups start with a passport copy and not much else. We can begin your licence and company on that alone. The idea that you need a thick folder of paperwork to get going is mostly myth.
For your visa
Once you are moving into residency, you will typically add a passport photo, and depending on your visa type, things like proof of qualification or proof of address. The medical and Emirates ID biometrics happen here too, in person, but those are steps, not documents you bring.
For banking
Banking is where the document list gets heavier, because banks are strict. Expect to provide clear evidence of who you are, your residency, and where your funds come from, plus a clean description of your business. This is the stage worth preparing properly, because missing pieces here cause the delays.
For your family
Each family member you sponsor has their own short set: passports, photos, and documents proving the relationship, like a marriage or birth certificate. We tell you exactly which, per person.
We give you the exact list
The honest truth is that the right list depends on your activity, your visa, and your situation. Rather than hand you a generic pile, your advisor gives you a short, specific checklist for your exact setup. Speak to an advisor and we will tell you precisely what to bring.
